Harley Quinn here looks like nothing but a complete rip-off of Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series but when compared to Sparrow's witty and clever personality, Quinn is just a dumb and carefree person who gets out of tough situations through luck. When she flips to the top of the car, the door is suddenly open. Continuity error: Towards the end of the movie when the guy in the passenger seat is shooting at Harley, who is skating in front of the car, he is hanging out of the window.Aside from the performances of Robbie, McGregor, Smollett, and Elizabeth Winstead, many of the actors didn't do a great job either. However, the final product focuses too much on Harley Quinn, to the point where it didn't feel like it's a film about the Birds of Prey, and the supporting characters get placed aside. Misleading title: the film was titled as if the Birds of Prey were the main selling points of the movie. Also, some scenes in the movie look like they were coming from Deadpool, possibly to cram a bunch of references to it. The plot rehashes elements from Deadpool 2, as it involves a crazed anti-villain protagonist (Harley Quinn/Deadpool) encountering a troublemaker (Cassandra Cain/Cable) who was in cahoots with the main villain (Black Mask/Firefist) and they get a team of other heroes to protect them.It even becomes more confusing as a result of the constant time jumps as well as an annoying monologue from Quinn. even though the man who abused Quinn was none other than the Joker hardly a fair standard to judge all men by. ![]() Not helping is that as per usual for a modern Hollywood movie with this theme, it, of course, demonizes men in the process. Centering about a female main character recovering from an abusive relationship. In fact, the story itself is generic yet cliched. The main problem is that the story misses a few aspects of the usual DCEU movie that were generally well-liked, such as the edgy and sometimes politically incorrect humor and the interplay between the main characters. But things soon even out for Harley when she becomes unexpected allies with three deadly women. Unprotected and on the run, Quinn faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his right-hand man, Victor Zsasz, and every other thug in the city. Hello, friends! At Kaslan, we believe that happiness is about more than just entertainment. The website comes complete with an announcement from Henry Kaslan, founder of the company: Here, a company called Kaslan is in charge. In the original series, Play Pals was the name of the company that manufactured the Good Guy dolls. Even at the Funki office, she can hack their computer systems and prevent them from turning her off, making her more effective than one of Skynet's Terminators. Before she kills Bruce, M3GAN uses various computer systems to stay alive. There's nothing supernatural about how M3GAN operates she's a robot that Gemma programs to be Cady's companion, but her drive to preserve herself is as strong as the one for protecting Cady. At the end of subsequent sequels, this process would continue, with the murderer able to transfer his essence into other Good Guy dolls, perpetually keeping himself "alive." His main goal was to move his soul into a human host, thereby gaining all the benefits of being flesh and blood rather than being a toy, but Chucky's power is reliant on the supernatural, which isn't as quantifiable as technology. In the original Child's Play, serial killer Charles Lee Ray could put his vile soul into a Good Guy doll and live on. But almost all zoom lenses will require some degree of in-camera corrections to reach peak performance. Autofocus is super-fast, deadly accurate and virtually silent. It feels really robust without being overly heavy, and has refined handling in every area, from the smooth-action zoom and focus rings to the various buttons and switches. The build quality and handling of Sigma’s new 24-70mm Art lens for mirrorless cameras is top-notch. The degree of distortion is enough to be visible when shooting geometric subjects, but is only obvious at 24mm, and it's not difficult to correct this in raw processing software. The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art produces moderate barrel distortion at 24mm, transitioning to pincushion at 50mm and beyond. ![]() ![]() Resistance to ghosting and flare is very good indeed. Sigma has created a beautifully engineered standard zoom with the 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM A, which more than earns its Art moniker. This makes it difficult to correct the distortion manually, but both peripheral illumination and distortions can be automatically corrected in-camera and via raw file conversion. At f/2.8, however, vignetting (darkened image corners) is quite noticeable and there’s hefty, moustache-shaped barrel distortion at the short end of the zoom range. Sharpness and contrast are excellent even when shooting wide-open, throughout the entire zoom range. So much so, in fact, that you have to remove the hood to take full advantage. A bonus of the DN lens is that the minimum focus distance at the wide-angle end of the zoom range is much shorter. Manual override operates with smooth precision and the customisable AF-L button is a further bonus. This pair of shots demonstrates the difference that Sony’s in-camera auto corrections have on vignetting and distortion at 24mm, f/2.8Īutofocus is very quick, essentially silent in operation and proved unerringly accurate in our tests of the Sony-mount edition of the lens. ![]() We set up a chat sessions with Lynsey on Fox.com and a chat with all of the cast members on .īroadcast: With teens being our primary target audience, we realized that both online and broadcast media were our main channels for viewership. Our main goal being to position her along the same lines as the cast of “Seventh Heaven” and “That 70’s Show.” Our plan was to place Lynsey along with other cast members on different chats and web pages, resulting in a ratings jump and traffic to the newly developed “Grounded for Life” website. Lynsey Bartilson, playing the role of 16-year-old Lily was our primary driving force in the teen sector. Online: Our research indicated that teens are looking more and more to websites for their favorite stars rather than the teen magazines. We had to convince the media that this show was worthy of their attention and had staying power. Our second challenge had to deal with the fact that the show had only been picked up for six initial episodes, making it difficult to get journalists to write about it since they were unsure if it would be on the air past six weeks. Our challenge was to raise press awareness for each of the cast members and the show, which was difficult due to the fact that the cast was primarily unknowns. Therefore, the media was reluctant to focus their attention on him so soon after. The softly sprung suspension allowed considerable body lean, wallow, and float except on smoothly surfaced highways there was an export suspension package available as special order. 315 bhp engine needed nearly 11 seconds to push the heavy T-bird to 60 mph (96 km/h), although with enough room a top speed of about 120 mph (200 km/h) was obtainable. The Thunderbird's sporty image had by that time become only an image. Dimensions changed only fractionally, and the suspension, engine, and transmission remained as before, but continued efforts to minimize noise and vibration from the unit body led to a weight increase of some 244 lb (110 kg). Giberson never claimed his prize, settling for a $95 suit and an extra pair of trousers from Saks Fifth Avenue.Īccording to Palm Springs Life magazine, the car's final name came not from the Native American symbol as one might expect, but from an ultra-exclusive housing tract in what would later be incorporated as Rancho Mirage, California: Thunderbird Heights.įor 1964 the Thunderbird was restyled yet again, discarding some of the rocket-ship styling cues of the previous generation in favor of a more squared-off, "formal" look. Stylist Alden "Gib" Giberson submitted Thunderbird as part of a list. Crusoe offered a $250 suit to anyone who could come up with a better name. There was some difficulty in naming the car, with suggestions ranging from the exotic to the ridiculous (Hep Cat, Beaver, Detroiter, Runabout, Arcturus, Savile, El Tigre, and Coronado were submitted among the 5,000 suggestions). Unlike the Corvette, the Thunderbird was never a full-blown sporting vehicle Ford's description was personal luxury car, and the company essentially created this market segment. ![]() Crusoe saw a painted clay model on May 18, 1953, which corresponded closely to the final car he gave the car the go-ahead in September after comparing it with current European trends. The concept was for a two-passenger open car, with a target weight of 2525 lb (1145 kg), an Interceptor V8 engine and a top speed of over 100 mph (160 km/h). Hershey took the idea and began working on the vehicle. ![]() Walker promptly telephoned Ford's HQ in Dearborn and told designer Frank Hershey about the idea. Walking in the Grand Palais in Paris, Crusoe pointed at a sports car and asked Walker, 'Why can't we have something like that?' Crusoe and Walker met in France in October 1951. Sales were good until the 1990s, when large 2-door coupes became unpopular production ceased after 1997. Succeeding generations became larger and more luxurious, until the line was downsized in 1977 and again in 1980. In 1958, the Thunderbird gained a second row of seats for greater practicality. Ford described it as a personal luxury car, a description which named a new market segment. It entered production for the 1955 model year as a two-seater sporty car unlike the superficially similar (and slightly earlier) Chevrolet Corvette, the Thunderbird was never sold as a full-blown sports car. Thus, assessment of physical activity in adolescents at population level is needed to identify current levels of physical activity, provide a basis for targeted intervention, and assess the effectiveness of intervention programs designed to increase physical activity.Ī wide range of objective and subjective methods have been used to measure physical activity behavior among children and adolescents. However, the evidence suggests few adolescents meet the guideline. For youth aged 5–18 years, it is recommended that they should participate daily in 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) for health. Physical activity across the life span is an important component of a healthy lifestyle, and the benefits of being active to prevent a range of chronic diseases and obesity are well documented. V-APARQ will be useful for population monitoring of change in physical activity among urban Vietnamese adolescents. The reliability and validity of the V-APARQ were low to fair, but are comparable to other self-report physical activity questionnaires used among adolescents. In boys MVPA was lower on the first, compared with second administration of V-APARQ while the reverse was observed among girls. The Bland-Altman plots for reliability show a mean difference of 0.4 minutes (95 % CI = −3.2, 4.0) for daily MVPA (n = 146) and the limits of agreement were −42.6 to 43.4 mins/day. ![]() Test-retest reliability showed a weighted Kappa of 0.75 and the intra-class correlation coefficient for MVPA was 0.57 for the whole group (MPA =0.37 and VPA = 0.62), and were higher in boys than girls. The construct validity of the V-APARQ showed Spearman correlation of 0.25 and 0.22 for the assessment of the questionnaire when compared to the accelerometer. Construct validity was assess by 7-day accelerometry, following the completion of the first V-APARQ. Reliability was assessed by test-retest (2 weeks apart). V-APARQ asked students to report their usual organised and non-organised physical activity during a normal week and moderate- (MPA), vigorous- (VPA and moderate-to-vigorous- (MVPA) physical activity were calculated. One hundred and sixty five students were recruited from four junior high schools in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam in 2004. This study aims to assess the reliability and validity of the Vietnamese Adolescent Physical Activity Recall Questionnaire (V-APARQ). However, these questionnaires were originally designed for adults and showed poor validity. In Vietnam, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQA) have been validated against accelerometers for use in adolescents. ![]() Accurate assessment of physical activity in adolescents at population level is necessary.
